DIVI features
The Divi Builder is an extremely powerful drag & drop front-end page builder that allows you to adjust everything live on the frontend of your site so that you can immediately see the effect of your adjustments.
So when you change things like colours, borders, backgrounds, margin / padding, animations and so on, you see the page change in real time, and you see it exactly the way visitors to your site see it. Adjusting texts is a matter of clicking and typing.
Because of its user-friendly interface, Divi is used on over 1 million websites worldwide and that makes it one of the most popular WordPress themes ever.
These styling options are available for virtually every element in Divi: you will find them with every module, but also with columns, rows, sections…
and you can even set separate styles for different devices. In the first screenshot on this page you can see how this works: with many elements you will see a phone icon when you hover your mouse over it. If you click on that icon you will see 3 tabs: desktop, tablet and phone.
When I say that with the Divi Builder you can change everything, I really mean everything; since the launch of Divi 4, the Divi Builder also allows you to modify your header, footer and all kinds of templates. In this way, you can decide for yourself what your message template, archives, WooCommerce product page, 404 page and so on will look like. This makes Divi a complete theme builder instead of just a page builder.
The most important part of any template builder is dynamic content.
This means that you don’t enter data manually per page, but automatically extract that data from the database.
Divi has almost 40 modules as standard. These are content elements; this is how I type this text into a text module, the image on the right is in an image module etc.
There is a video module, a gallery module, a Google Maps module, a contact form module, an e-mail opt-in module to get more subscriptions to your newsletter, a countdown timer module, an animated number module, an image, message and video slider, an accordion module, a reference module, price tables and so on.
If you have a webshop with WooCommerce you get another 16 modules.
Besides your own designs, you will also find a lot of layout packs in the Divi Library.
Layout packs are professionally designed templates that come standard with Divi. All layout packs consist of several templates in the same style; for example, there is a layout pack for a restaurant, with a template for the homepage, a template for the contact page, a template for the menu and so on.
